40 degrees

Sydney sweltered with two days above 40˚C this month, but within this country some life encounters these temperature regularly. How does life survive and thrive there?

This children's book on life in the Simpson desert resulted from the author volunteering with research conducted in the location by scientists from the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Sydney, where I completed my degrees. The link provides more on this interesting story, and the book is one I am looking to add to my shelves.
