Pippi Longstocking returns

Growing up I loved reading Astrid Lindgren's books about Pippi Longstocking. I used to pretend I was Pippi, wearing an old dress of my mothers's I had sewn large red patches on, one black and one brown stocking and two large shoes from my father. My mother would plait my hair with wire to make it stick out and draw freckles on my nose.

I have no photos of me dressed as my heroine, the strongest girl in the world. However, I recently found this picture on Hel looks, from a girl who states Pippi is her style icon, that had me finding one of my Pippi books to read of her adventures again.
